The NPD department works closely with the Research and Development and other departments like marketing, process and production, packaging and quality control for ensuring a hustle free process from seeding the product concept to taking it up to a commercialized market product. A dedicated team is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and launching new food products into the market, often by innovating existing products or creating entirely new ones to meet evolving consumer trends and market demands. This includes research, formulation, testing, and commercialization stages to ensure the new product is viable and successful.

We are well versed with the ingredients we use in our product formulations and well-equipped with best-in-class facilities to undertake complete new product development process right from understanding the ingredients used for formulation to the manufacturing of a product. We keep ourselves updated with the current trends and market preferences to create new avenues of growth, bring innovative and distinct flavours to our products, product improvements, develop customized products and do product modification and branding. Our dedicated Research and Development department is well capable to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations regarding new product development.

This is the product ideation stage wherein we understand the product’s various parameters like taste, colour, flavour, texture required by the customer according to their end usage. This is the foundation stage for further stages and directs about the overall process of product development.

During this stage, our R&D and technical team reviews the product and its ingredients for drafting a process flow and project requirements for raw material and packaging material and machinery to take it forward to the development phase. This stage gives us a prototype sample to understand better and deliver the requirements of the customer.

At this stage, we develop the precise recipes and process steps to meet with the product specifications required and shared by the customer in our well-equipped R&D laboratory. Here all potential Critical Control Points are also examined and a proper HACCP plan is implemented to ensure there is no compromise with the quality of the product throughout the manufacturing process and evaluate all potential challenges in scaling up the new product.

Product application and tasting is done to check the acceptability of the product for the texture, appearance and flavour profile with the perspective of consumer’s pallet and the final usage of the product in preparing of various delicious and flavourful dishes.

Testing and verification is used to confirm that a product adheres to the specifications or requirements as defined for the new product. Chemical and Microbiological testing of the prototype product takes place to evaluate the quality parameters of the product and ensure it falls as per the guidelines issued by FSSAI.

The recipes and processes formulated are transferred to the pilot line for technical trials of the new product to test feasibility and quality parameters. At this stage, the prototype sample gets converted into the actual product and packaging to get introduced in the market and get valuable feedbacks from the customers.

The approved pilot line product trial gets shifted to our premier production facilities where the product is manufactured at mass scale by strictly adhering to the product specifications and processes developed and hence 100% assured quality deliverance to our valuable customers.

On-going product and process improvement ensures that the product is subject to continuous quality control and fulfil the inputs received from the customers. CAPA and HACCP processes are also in place to feed into these actions.
